Executive Business Coach Certification Programme
Spring 2007 South Africa!

Stop Press! Be one of the first 10 delegates on this pioneering first international CEONCR course and - for the same fee as was charged for the UK Autumn 2006 programme - you get get free flights and accommodation in South Africa!
The UK courses have been so successful over the last 5 years, that we want to assess the potential interest in running some in South Africa
The advantages for delegates are that they get at no extra cost, 10 days training with extended hours (instead of 12 days) and 4 days to enjoy the astounding beauty of South Africa.
Why are we so generous? Because John Webster is spending 6 months a year in South Africa now and so loves the country that he wants to bring the delegates to him!
Dates are not yet fixed nor venue but we are hoping to persuade all 5 of our leading tutors to come out there. (Morgan, Whitmore, Kline, Downey, Lee) and we hope some of the programme alumni will be attracted too
To express interest please click below. Once the course details are finalised, the first 10 delegates to pay the reservation fee will get the free flights and accommodation

Below is the syllabus of the Autumn 2006 programme which we hope to emulate as closely as possible

Syllabus

'I believe the CEO 2006 programme is the most powerful tutorial programme ever assembled in UK for executive coach training. 16 acknowledged leaders in the international coaching arena - all with enormous experience of 1:1 and group coaching and supervision; and others with acclaimed books on the subjects - come together to provide what I have tried to achieve - the most comprehensive and rigorous series of executive coach training tutorials and practical sessions yet devised'.

Below we set out the syllabus, delegates, speakers, process and costs. John Webster

Training and personal study programme for :

  • Award of Post Graduate Certificate in Executive Business Coaching (designatory letters, PGCert Exec Coach)  by an approved University College. This is a University Masters level award
  • Membership of The National Coaching Register * See conditions below

This is phase 10 of a new UK initiative to create a training, and nationally recognised, certification programme for senior directors to qualify - in the rapidly evolving new 1: 1 coaching marketplace - as Executive Business Coaches.

Circa 85 MDs representing £35bn turnover have completed the training programme since commencement in Autumn 2002.  They have helped to refine the process which is now open to all senior directors meeting the entry criteria. The 85 delegates from the foundation courses were the first in UK to have the opportunity to be professionally certified to University Post Graduate standard in Executive Business Coaching.

Attendance at the Autumn 2006 training programme will be open to qualifying applicants with an optimum limit of 15 delegates. Along with the 85, they will be encouraged to join CEO National Coaching Register (CEONCR, that was launched in Autumn 2005 as the corporate brand marketing body. All NCR delegates have the opportunity to seek membership of CEONCR with options ranging from Associate status to equity based 'partnership'

CEONCR will be focussed on the provision of 1:1 coaching at MD level. The programme includes specialised training in coaching MDs and teams in the MBI/O (Management Buy In/Out) marketplace so that the coaching role can, if desired, be part of a portfolio that includes non executive directorships.

Programme Entry Credentials.

As CEO’s initiative is breaking completely new ground and is UK market leading, revisions to the programme and its concepts are being made progressively. Currently entry into the NCR programme is open as follows :

They qualify for founder membership of The National Coaching Register and the term ‘Lead Coach’. By completing all parts of the training programme and submitting a successful Learning Portfolio to the Chester University  they can obtain the qualification of ‘Post Graduate Executive Business Coach’ and right to use the designatory letters PGCert Exec Coach
  2. Affiliate membership. Open to Senior directors with minimum 10 years board experience in £30m+ turnover business; or CEO/Chairmen in sub £30m turnover SMEs. They qualify for Affiliate membership of The National Coaching Register and the term Affiliate Coach. They receive the qualification ‘Post Graduate Executive Business Coach’ and right (on submitting a successful Learning Portfolio approved by Chester University  to use the designatory letters PGCert Exec Coach

Qualification Procedure to obtain the Post Graduate Certificate

All entrants must complete:

  • The 12 day residential coach training programme in 3 modules each of 4 days (6 weekdays and 6  weekend days).

    • A reading list of circa 8 specialised books
    • 3 coaching assignments each of three days commitment
    • Submission of a Learning Portfolio to Chester University for Award of a Post Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching

Owing to the accelerated format of the NCR programme, one delegate completed and submitted their Portfolio to the Post Graduate Certificate Award standard within 6 weeks of completing the 12 day tutorial phase
