CEONCR coaches come from a successful career that included one or more appointments as Chairman, CEO or MD of minimum £30m turnover. Many have run more than £500m turnover PLCs and/or have multiple non executive chair/directorship portfolios. (See Associate Group Coach list)

 

Other have been highly successful CEOs or MDs or senior directors with specialised functional skills including Private Equity, Corporate Finance, HR, IT, H&S, Sales & Marketing, International Operations, M&S; others are senior directors from entrepreneurial SMEs

 

Each director has to embark on an intensive study programme structured to take them to award of a Post Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching and use of the designatory letters PGCert Exec Coach which is a Masters level award independently supervised and certified by Chester University.

 

The study programme includes:

  • 12 extended days rigorous tutor led classroom training (typically 8am to 7pm with short working breaks and optional overnight assignments) - delivered by at least 10 acknowledged authors, psychotherapists, psychologists and specialists in linguistics, hypnotherapy, counselling and international commercial coaching.
  • Maintenance of their own confidential record of personal learning, psychological experiences, practice techniques, technical progression, and 'realisations/ discoveries'
  • Extensive coaching practice in triads and pairs, and intensive practice of the 72 leading edge concepts and techniques that are the foundation stone of the CEONCR executive coaching process (see Detailed Training Syllabus)
  • Reading of 8 recommended books that underpin the tutorial sessions many being delivered by the leading authors themselves. Sir John Whitmore, Nancy Kline, Myles Downey, Graham Lee and Shelle Rose Charvet.
  • 'Guinea Pig', practice with at least 3 directors each for 3 sessions each of 3 hours. 
  • Production of a Portfolio of 4 modules of circa 16,000 words in essays/dissertation format on chosen topics and concepts.
  • Supervision and guidance by an authorised tutor through the Guinea Pig and Portfolio submission phases
  • Submission of a successful Portfolio to secure an award of a Post Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching by Chester University.

Note During the initial training phase, each coach will have practiced the CEONCR process with at least 30 Chairmen, CEOs and senior directors. Over the 4 years evolution of the programme many have developed substantial executive coaching experience and long term client relationships.
